Dr. Didac Ferrer
Didac graduated as an industrial & materials engineer in 1997. He obtained a doctorate in materials science in 2001 from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). In 2000, he was appointed as the Coordinator of the Environment Plan of UPC. Since 2005, he has been the technical director of CITIES (Interdisciplinary Center of Technology, Innovation and Education for Sustainability), today evolving to Institute of Sustainability, with 16 people, and a wide number of projects in curriculum development, sustainable education, sustainable management, interdisciplinary research and communication. 

Didac is currently member of the editorial boards of Jounal of Cleaner Production and in Sustainability Science, with a particular focus in the field of Sustainability in Higher Education. He has been in the scientific committees and chairs of various international conferences such as Engineering Education in Sustainable Development (EESD), Alliance for Global Sustainability (AGS) or Environmental Management for Sustainable Universities (EMSU). ¨He has taught in the Masters of Sustainability at UPC, in the fields of sustainable organizations, industrial ecology and sustainable technology.¨
